Hello Rockets, Our high school cross-country team helped Union School Corporation receive an exemplary behavior report for their sportsmanship during the Ethan Cheeseman Memorial Invite on 9/22! Official: Alan Wright Sport: Coed Cross Country Event Details: 9/22/2026 (Location: Union High School) Reporting Individual: Alan Wright I was the official at the Ethan Cheeseman Cross Country Invitational tonight at Union High School. The weather was cold and windy and the athletes could have been in bad spirits having to run. Just the opposite occurred as there was great sportsmanship shown throughout the meet. As the girls were running, the boys cheered for the runners from all the other schools. As the boys were competing, I watched as the girls cheered for all the boys. It was a very enjoyable meet to be the official. The administration from the schools should be proud of the way their athletes represented them tonight. For these reasons, I would like to recommend that they receive an IHSAA Exemplary Award. Congrats cross-country! Way to represent our school to the highest level!
